Cumberland Iron Works is a family owned and operated business founded in 1983. Cumberland Iron Works continues to be a leader in reviving the art of hand-forged metalwork. Located in Portland Tennessee, Cumberland Iron Works designs, produces & installs custom architectural metalwork that includes driveway gates, garden gates, balconies, interior and exterior stairway railings, porch railings, doors and miscellaneous items. Our primary expertise and focus is design excellence and we are totally customer-oriented and take great pride in going beyond customers’ expectations.

With over 70 years of combined experience, the designers at Cumberland Iron Works excel in their understanding of an ancient art, carrying on the craft of the greatest wrought iron designers in the tradition of Samuel Yellin. At home with CAD, slide rule or compass, we are ready to be of service to you. The artisans, fabricators and Installers employed by Cumberland Iron Works each possess a remarkable set of skills, making them eminently qualified for their unique positions. Cumberland Iron Works is more than a manufacturing facility. It's also a storehouse of experience and knowledge where a priceless heritage of traditional skills is honored and passed on to new generations of artisans.
